Coleman Estates Estate Agency Website Redesign

Coleman Estates already had an established website and a strong property business behind it, but the digital setup needed to move forward with the agency.

The project came at an important point for the business. Alongside redesigning the website, Coleman Estates was changing property CRM, which meant the new site needed to accommodate a different flow of property information while continuing to give buyers, tenants, sellers and landlords a clear experience.

For an estate agency, the website has to do much more than showcase available properties. Someone might arrive looking for their next home, considering selling a property, comparing letting services or wanting to arrange a valuation. Each of those visitors needs to understand where to go and feel confident enough to take the next step.

The project therefore became a bespoke redesign built around Coleman Estates itself: its brand, its customers, its property data and the way the agency needed the website to work after the CRM transition.

What needed to change

The existing website had accumulated content and functionality over time, while the business and the systems behind it had continued to develop.

The CRM change made this particularly important. Property information needed to move reliably from the agency’s internal system into the website, with details such as availability, property type, pricing information, tenure, parking and outside space presented consistently and usefully.

At the same time, the customer-facing experience needed attention. Property search is obviously central to an estate agency website, but it cannot be the only journey the site handles well. Sellers and landlords needed clearer routes into the agency’s services, while potential clients considering a valuation needed an easier way to make an informed enquiry.

Visually, the website also needed to feel more distinctive and more representative of Coleman Estates rather than simply following the conventions of a typical property website.

What Expand Digital Media delivered

Expand Digital Media created a bespoke WordPress website that brought the property experience, agency services and Coleman Estates brand into a more coherent whole.

The visual direction was developed around the agency’s existing identity, using stronger typography, considered use of its plum colour palette and more purposeful imagery to give the website its own character while allowing property photography to remain prominent.

The property side of the website was rebuilt around the agency’s new CRM setup. Property information was carefully mapped into the new website so the details people rely on when searching and comparing homes could be presented clearly and consistently.

We also looked beyond property listings themselves. Individual property pages were given clearer enquiry routes, while the wider structure helped sellers, landlords, buyers and tenants reach the information relevant to them without having to work out how the website was organised.

The property valuation journey was rebuilt using a more intelligent enquiry form with conditional logic. Instead of asking every visitor the same long list of questions, the form can adapt to the information they provide, giving Coleman Estates useful details while keeping the experience straightforward for the person completing it.

Responsive behaviour was considered throughout the redesign so navigation, imagery, property information and calls to action remained practical on mobile as well as desktop.

Behind the visible design, the project also included the practical work needed to move between website environments and support the new setup, including property-data handling, redirects, domain configuration and hosting.

Why it mattered

An estate agency website sits between the systems used by the business and some very human decisions being made by its customers.

A buyer does not need to understand how property information reaches the website. They simply need accurate details and an easy way to find and enquire about the right home.

Someone considering selling their property is making a different judgement. They are deciding whether the agency feels professional, established and trustworthy enough to represent one of their most valuable assets.

That is why the project could not be treated as a cosmetic redesign or simply a property-feed integration.

The website needed to make the technology disappear into the background while presenting Coleman Estates clearly in the foreground.

The result

The finished website gives Coleman Estates a more distinctive and contemporary digital presence while providing a stronger foundation for the agency’s day-to-day property operation.

The move to a new CRM is supported by a website structured around the agency’s current systems rather than the setup it was leaving behind. Property information sits naturally within the wider customer experience, buyers and tenants have clearer routes through available homes, and sellers and landlords can more easily move from researching the agency to making an enquiry.

The result demonstrates what bespoke website design can involve when a website has to do more than look different.

For Coleman Estates, it meant bringing together brand, content, property search, customer journeys, enquiries and a significant CRM change into one website designed around the way the business actually works.
